Ray Allen is not the only former Celtic joining the 2018 Basketball Hall of Fame class. Former Celtics Charlie Scott and Dino Radja were named to the Hall of Fame Saturday.

Scott had a brief, but crucial stint in Boston. He was traded from the Phoenix Suns tot he Boston Celtics in 1975 for Paul Westphal. He would help lead the Celtics to the title that year against Westphal and the Suns, including the legendary triple overtime Game 5. Scott averaged 17.8 points per game in his two full seasons in Boston.

Scott made five All-Star teams between the ABA and NBA and was named to the ABA All-Time team. After his playing career, Scott went on to become the marketing director for Champion, who was one of the major NBA apparel brands at the time.

Radja was the featured man of the Celtics brief bout with mediocrity in the 90s. After the passing of Reggie Lewis, Radja came on the scene and served as Boston’s main scorer. He averaged 16.7 points per game in his four seasons in Boston, the last of which was cut short to just 25 games before he went back overseas. In his age-28 season in ’95-’96. Radja scored 19.7 points and grabbed 9.8 rebounds per game.

Radja was drafted by the Celtics with the 40th pick in 1989, but stayed overseas as a star int he Euroleague, winning the title that year and in 1990. The irony was that Radja was trying to force his way out of his contract in Europe and even went ot Boston and signed a one year deal and joined the Celtics. His team in Yugoslavia sued in a Massachusetts court and won an injunction to prevent him from playing for the Celtics while under contract in Yugoslavia.

He would go back and win the title in Yugoslavia for KK Split and then went to Rome for a few years. Radja eventually came over to Boston in 1993 and had a few individually successful years for the Celtics while they suffered their worst stint in franchise history. Boston then drafted Antoine Walker and Paul Pierce as Radja went back to more success in Europe.

Cedric Maxwell still having trouble dealing with Dino Radja's election to the Hall of Fame. Told Dino was selected by the international committee, Max said, "Then I'm from France."
