2019 Draft Lottery Thread

The 2019 NBA Draft Lottery happens tonight.  The results will broadcast on ESPN at 8:30 PM tonight, before the Portland - Golden State game.

Worst case would be the Kings pick moving up to 1. Then depending on if you want the Grizz pick this year or not for the Cs, it moves up staying with the Grizzlies or Cs get it at 9 or later.

If I were the Knicks and get #1, I would consider it myself. could be a nice price to get back for NO also.

Knicks would likely still have enough cap space for another Max player to team with Davis too.

of course one could argue Durant, Irving (or Kemba) and Zion might be a pretty good start too.

Well we got #14. Remember this ...there is only one lottery pick on either the Raptors or Bucks. Guess who? Drafts are underrated 10-20. Giannis and Kawhi were both #15 picks.

That said, Lakers got really lucky tonight.

No way they keep them all, but the asking price for AD just went sky high. If they decide to trade if, maybe they keep them both and see what happens.??/

I bet Griffin persuades AD to stay. I can't see them trading him now. I doubt that he would want to leave. Hell, Kyrie may wind up there.

AD stays in NO for 1 year. WHY?

If Zion Williamson is the real deal and they achieve early success, both him and Davis make up an incredible front court that lays the foundation of a quick turn around in NO. And, oh by the way Davis signs a new 5 year max deal.

Danny must look beyond AD and start over. 3 first rounds this year and Memphis #1 pick next year. I would trade up and see if we can get a good point guard or a center like Bol Bol.

I think if Danny wants a stud center, he either sets his sights on someone in the West to trade for or ya always can go after Boogie!

NO got a two-for-one deal this evening.

Forget the various rumor mills. Usually BS anyway. Davis has a big reason to stay put and NO has big incentive to keep him.

AD and Zion? All is forgiven and forgotten by the fans in NO and Davis.

Anybody really think either AD or NO are dumb enough to not go with it?

14, 20 and 22 are good enough to get two bigs and a PG.

May be good enough to trade 14 and one of the others and move up one or two spots, but the talent isn't that deep. The quality at, say, 12, and at 14, are going to be close. May as well keep and use all three.

An alternative might be if the Memphis pick for next year can be dealt. Take this year's 14 and next year's Memphis pick and you might move up a little higher.

When was the last time the basketball gods smiled upon us on draft lottery day?

The Lakers moving up puts him in a position to offer NOP the package Danny wanted to offer them. Zion, Kuzma and the rest of the kitchen sink will make NOP an interesting game. Another possibility is that Anthony Davis might reconsider leaving. Zion and Davis? Those are two pretty impressive building blocks.
