Celtics @ Spurs, Saturday November 9, 2019 at 5 PM EST Game #8

The Spurs have won 10 out of the last 11 games against the Celtics.  The Celtics last win was on October 30, 2017


2017 is the year Boston went on that remarkable 16-2 run to open the season.  I actually see similarities between that team and this team.

This is the 3rd game of our mini road trip and you can be assured that it will not be an easy contest.  The Spurs are currently 5-3.  They are in 7th place with a 2.4 PPG spread.

You beat the Spurs by playing sound fundamental basketball.  Pop is not a big advocate of the 3 point shot but his team will take them (25.6 PG) However they have not been very accurate at 32.7%

Aldridge is the guy you need to stop.  DeRozan is the other guy.  He still cannot make 3 pointers.  Their PG  Murray is an excellent rebounder but he is another guy that cannot make the deep ball.

Patty Mills is a pain in the ass.  Check him.  Rudy Gay, Bryn Forbes, Derrick Whlte, Trey Lyles fill out the main rotations guys.  Mills, White and Forbes are the best deep shooters so far this year.
