NBA Draft prospects Highlight
Please add any that you think are worth watching
Here is a shooter that I really like

Good highlights. The low shot release point will be a serious issue for him in NBA.

I noticed that too however he gets his shot off quick. Sort of shoots like Trey Young.prakash wrote:Good highlights. The low shot release point will be a serious issue for him in NBA.
Also he is ranked 2nd round #35 or so per hoops hype combined mock draft

The scuttlebutt has this dude as the next Stephen Curry. He’s a guard and he’ll be there at 35 because the rest of the league are a bunch of dumb S%*8s. He’s definitely worth a look.

Re: NBA Draft prospects Highlight
Tough sledding picking at 35.
Maybe someone like Keyontae Johnson from Kansas State for a defensive presence, or Penn State’s Seth Lundy if looking for a shooter for some quick offense.
Not much chance of finding badly needed help in the PF/C department unless they give it a try with Trayce Jackson-Davis from Indiana if he’s still around. More of a depth play here, anyway.
**************
Keyontae Johnson.
Defense is his big strength, but they never seem to show defensive highlights in any of these clips.
Big comeback story. Suffered cardiac arrest on court in 2020 but is fine now.
Seth Lundy
Can shoot the lights out, beyond the arc and anywhere else on the floor.
Scoring machine.
Trayce Jackson-Davis
Hard-nosed PF/center (6'9"). Rebounding machine.
Saw a comment to the video; "If Domantas Sabonis and John Collins had a baby"

Re: NBA Draft prospects Highlight
As of 6/17/23:
Per Mock NBA Draft Boards the Boston Celtics take @ #35
CBS Sports - Noah Clowney, Alabama. 6-10", 210#, 7'2" wingspan. Even CBS Sports says they'd be surprised if he fell out of the 1st round. So why do they have him there for us? Stupid.
NBAdraftroom.com - Jaime Jasquez Jr, UCLA. 6'6", 226#, 6'9 1/2" wingspan. They compare him to Rick Fox.
The Ringer - Kevin O'Connor has the Celts taking Jasquez too.
NBAdraft.net - Sidy Cissoko, G-League. 6'7", 225#, 6'9+" wingspan. 19 years old.
Bleacher Report - Andre Jackson Jr, Connecticut. 6'5", 200#, 6'9 3/4" wingspan.
Sports Illustrated - Julian Phillips, Tennessee. 6'8", 198#, 6'11 1/2" wingspan. A forward weighing under 200#? No thanks.
USA Today Sports - Andre Jackson.
Bob
MY NOTE: Other than Clowney, who doesn't fall out of the 1st round in any mock draft other than CBS', who admits they can't see it happening ( ) there isn't a single big listed. I know we're talking about moving two guards (Payton plus ?) but, really? Our back court is not a big problem for us (no pun intended).

Re: NBA Draft prospects Highlight
Over the years there have been a lot of players drafted in round 2 that turned into stars.
I am still waiting for the Celtics to strike gold in round 2.
The drop off in talent is not that great between 25-35.

Hoopshype has an aggregate mock draft
To better project where the top prospects currently stand, we compiled 10 mock drafts from ESPN, The Athletic, Bleacher Report, The Ringer, NBADraft.net, Sports Illustrated, CBS Sports, Yahoo, SB Nation, and USA TODAY’s For The Win.
here is the link.

If Boston goes after a wing I like Julian Phillips. He could be there at #35.

8.3 ppg? 23.9% from three? Am I missing something on Julian? He's not the guy they named the calendar after, is he?

Not great numbers but I like his shooting mechanics.worcester wrote:8.3 ppg? 23.9% from three? Am I missing something on Julian? He's not the guy they named the calendar after, is he?
I think he was named SEC Freshman of the year.
I believe he was on the workout list. The Celtics will be able to add a 3rd 2 way guy so maybe they use the pick on someone else and if Phillips is not drafted they could get him as an undrafted FA.

Re: NBA Draft prospects Highlight
The Celtics have had Trayce Jackson-Davis and Oscar Tshiebwe in for workouts.
Both are bigs, TJD could go as soon as late first round, but some projections have him falling to within reach of #35. Some projections have Tshiebwe going undrafted, so possibly an undrafted FA target.
Either one could be a nice addition for some badly needed depth behind RWIII and Horford. Neither are likely to develop into the ideal NBA PF/C for various reasons, but both could contribute with skills that include defensive ability, rebounding and shot blocking. Both are strong in the paint. Jackson-Davis would add to the offense as well from mid-range and in.

Re: NBA Draft prospects Highlight
Now that we're drafting #25 instead of #35 here's what the mock drafts are saying today. These may be for who they think MEMPHIS would take @ #25 and not who they think we should take.
CBS Sports - Dariq Whitehead, Duke. 6'6", 217#. This pick is for Boston, not Memphis. Pags is a HUGE Dukie, as is Tatum of course.
NBAdraftroom.com - Brandin Podziemski, UC Santa Clara. 6'5", 195#. A shooter. They compare him to Fournier and Gary Harris. Picked for Boston.
The Ringer - Kevin O'Connor has the Celts taking Olivier-Maxence Prosper, Marquette. 6'7", 212#, 7'1" wingspan. High energy defender, not a great shooter.
NBAdraft.net - Olivier-Maxence Prosper, Marquette. 6'8", 210#, 7'1" wingspan. They say he's really strong, and a dog on defense. Picked for Boston.
Bleacher Report - Jaime Jaquez, Jr, UCLA. 6'6", 225#, 6'9 1/2" wingspan. Good all-round player.
Sports Illustrated - Maxwell Phillips, Pepperdine. 6'7", 195#. Picked for Memphis, not Boston.
USA Today Sports - Koby Brown, Missouri. 6'8", 250#, 7'0 3/2" wingspan. Shot 55% from the field and 45.5% from 3 last year. Played for Phil Pressey at Missouri, so there might be a connection there. 6'8", 250#?!! That's a lot of beef on the hoof there. Do we still need that?

Re: NBA Draft prospects Highlight
Gary Washburn of the Glob is picking Brice Sensabaugh, Ohio State, for the Celtics @ #25. 6'6", 215#, wingspan stat is N/A. Supposedly a great shooter but an unreliable defender.
