The Heat Beat Empty The Heat Beat

Post by bobheckler Thu Dec 13, 2012 12:32 pm

Well, my 2nd favorite team (I try to root for the local teams whenever they're not play MY team) beat Miami last night, in Miami.

GSW is fielding a very interesting team this year. A little tougher on defense (any team with Carl Landry on it will have a little more backbone) and they still shoot exceedingly well and run like deer. They definitely score in bunches. It will be interesting to see what happens when/if Bogut comes back.

Miami is struggling against good teams this year. Yeah!

Tonight, the Knicks host the Lakers. I rarely say this, but "Go Lakers!". It's all about #18, boys and girls, and we don't have a chance to win the championship and hoist #18 to the rafters if we can't make it out of the east. We need some help letting some of the air out of NY.

Hey Bob, how 'bout them Warriors? It's probably fools gold, but hey, I'll take it.

Agree wholeheartedly about wanting LA to beat the Knicks tonight. If we're looking at the big picture we need to win the Atlantic division to make getting to the Finals easier and we can definitely make up 4 game on the Knicks in the next 60. NY loses tonight and it we creep closer to them.

Go Lakers. Make your free throws tonight Dwight. You can miss 'em tomorrow.

Outside,

I've lived out here near Baghdad by the Bay since 1992, and this is only the second Warrior team I've been able to root for without holding my nose. The other one was the year they beat Dallas in the playoffs.

Who knows how long this will last?

I would love to have Jarret Jack backup Rondo and I'd give up JET AND Barbosa for Klay Thompson.

Went to see the Warriors play the Magic at Oracle last Monday when I was in town on business and had a good time.

Got a seat 20 rows from the court for $80 - got a cool old school "The City" shirt - ate a churro and drank a few local beers - and met some very cool people.

Magic won...but Warriors looked like an up and coming team.

Had a good time, but that walk to the BART is pretty shady.
