Avery Bradley is a really good defender and the only times Curry got free at all last time was when Bradley was sitting Today it will be even harder because Marcus Smart is also a great defender and this time he is playing

These are not Bird's Celtics.

Celtics came to play

Ugh, Smart and Bradley already wreaking havoc

We suck.  (MY NOTE:  Best team in the league and he has already given up on them in the first quarter.  The weather is nice out here but that's not supposed to apply to the fans)

We have missed a shocking number of easy shots. And Evan Turner is on fire.

**** Isaiah Thomas

Isaiah loves playing the dubs

Celtics are on fire shooting

Boston cannot miss tonight

Well they just aren't gonna miss... As we miss a lay up and dunk

Damn Turner... New Book of Barnett rule: streaky shooters love us…

I didn't think Turner was even streaky I just thought he was crappy

Celtics are slicing through our D

The celtics size is affecting us at the rim

That awkward moment where Evan Turner is getting more easy buckets than the Warriors

Here's the real bad news We’re down 10 and Warriors killer IT is only coming in now

38 points to the F'in Celtics!!!

Does IT ever make a shot And then not stare down the opposing bench? We didn’t trade ya bro Maybe he stares down everyone who didn’t draft him

I don't think the Warriors would ever draft a guy like Thomas They have a size fetish

IT has 8pts in 2.5 minutes

They're fighting for a playoff spot

Every Celtic is playing at their absolute best right now.

GO INSIDE THE PAINT! THE CELTICS ARE WEAK IN THE PAINT!

I'm calling a Crowder/Green fight

If you are going to post up Isaiah Thomas, Livingston, at least back him down a bit first

Of course Isaiah speeds to the rim with the and 1 on Lee

Is there a more annoying commentator than Heinsohn? I feel sorry for Boston fans. (MY NOTE:  Yeah, it's awful having a commentator who has forgotten more about basketball than you know total)

Can we trade Lee and Livingston for IT yet

Man, Livingston is just outclassed by Thomas

Lee can't out rebound Jonas Jerebko

We're getting beat by the hero ball of IT and Evan Turner.

Who did the scouting report? Almost everyone on Boston is capable of shooting threes (MY NOTE:  The scouting report would have to have been updated within the past few weeks)

Couldn't box out Crowder

Boston is practically a new team afte mid-season! No longer a cakewalk for us...

Boston wasn't a cakewalk earlier in the year either. Brad Stephens gets his guys to play hard and within themselves it seems.

I guess we're daring Crowder to beat us from 3

Are we playing against Altlanta Celtics?

We found a way to not let Bradley bother Steph ... Have IT absolutley kill us and keep him in

Celtics are seemingly first to every ball

Everyone on the Celtics is playing harder Going for every rebound

It’s not even like the Celts are just outmuscling the smallball squad, they are just outhustling

IT out, might actually have a chance to get within 10

Celtics nice execution

Jae frikken Crowder has 9 rebounds in the first half

General consensus in Celtics Nation is that (hypothetically) they would not trade Crowder straight up for Rondo. Not that crazy, actually. Versatile wings who can shoot, rebound and defend are a great thing in today’s NBA.

These are Isaiah Thomas' Celtics.

When you watch teams like the Celtics play tonight you realize tanking comes from the top.

Looks like the call came down at half time.

down to 9, Stevens inserts IT and lead grows back to 15+

Celtics playing tough D

These Celtics are desperate to make the 8th seed

I love IT but man he gets away with so many fouls, it must be the short height

I wish Bogut played with as much energy as Bass

IT gets fouls because of his height That doesn’t mean you can’t call a foul ON the little man

IT just schooled our D with that pass

Bass dunking on our whole team lmao

Trade everyone over 6'8 this summer

I think the Celtics are fatiguing

Danny Ainge timed this perfectly

Watch IT come back in and stick a knife in us That little dude… He and Bass will turn into KJ and Barkley to close it out

15-10 assists Celtics-Warriors in the 1st half 4-9 assists Celtics-Warriors in the 2nd half

IT does not EVER commit fouls I guess Not that I would necessarily want Iguodala shooting free throws

How does IT get that rebound?

This may have been the hardest earned win of the season

I forgot Gerald Wallace was in the NBA His career will be remembered for being traded for Lillard

And being awful in dunk contest twice

Curry had as good a game as Harden and James today. For sure

Better than Lebron Steph didn’t choke

Celtics won 3 in a row and IT is a Warriors killer. Their coach has them playing really hard as well. Trap game that we fell for in the beginning.

Whoever stole IT's lucky headband in the third quarter is MVP of the gmae

He threw it after he thought he got fouled No T, of course

Much rather play Nets than Celtics They at the very least do not have as many streaky shooters, or guys that just plays with a ton of effort besides maybe Thad Young.

You know, for how much so many love IT - - worth pointing out that he went 8-21 tonight, with only one trip to the foul line, and was -10 overall for the game He clearly fills a need on Boston (they simply don’t have anyone they’re comfortable with giving the car keys to in crunch time) but I can’t help but think he’s a classic good-player-on-a-bad-team guy. Puts up good numbers, but doesn’t play well with others. He’s like a better version of Monta.

Warriors once again overcoming the refs helping a crappy East Coast team who tried their hardest and were crushed in the end.

Celtics aren't crappy any more. They gave us all we could handle and then some. Give credit where credit is due.

Love reading these. My absolute favorite:

The Warriors have definitely taken their foot off the gas over their last two games.
They played uninspired ball for much of the Boston game and the same happened in their loss to Brooklyn last night.
Boston is a borderline playoff team in the very weak Eastern Conference.
I think it would be a positive to fight and make the playoffs. Gain some playoff experience.
But I also see the other side, that if they miss the playoffs, they have a small chance at getting a top 3 draft pick.

TJ,

The Warriors have just completed an arduous stretch of the schedule with 12 of 15 games on the road (and the three home games were one-offs where they turned around and went on the road again). They went 10-5 during that stretch, which is probably not as good as they would've liked, but a few poor games are to be expected.

Overall, they're 22-10 on the road, which is better than everyone else in the West and better than everyone in the league except Atlanta.

They now have 15 of the final 24 games at home, where they are 24-2. They should be fine.

Outside,

I know GS will be fine.
My point is, I don't think Boston faced GS anywhere near their best performance and neither did Brooklyn last night.

TJ,

That may have been true in the first quarter.  But I think G.S. got themselves so far in the hole that they had to dig way down and submit a pretty good effort the rest of the way.

I do think the Celtics were lucky early on with the profusion of threes.  It's much easier to be accurate from distance when you're in a frantic rhythm, you're inspired to give every ounce of effort, and everything is breaking your way.  The problem with relying on the three so heavily is that the basket can close on you when the rhythm slows.

When the Celtics' offense feeds off the defense, they're in pretty good shape.  Their declining defense was the root cause of their increasing woes as the game wore on.

Beat,

If the season ended today, Boston would have the #10 pick.
Last year Cleveland was in the #9 slot and they won the #1 pick.
The odds are slim, but it does happen.

Fairy tales, can come true, it could happen to you, if you're young at heart...

Or if you're a franchise that just lost the best player in the world to Miami and was facing financial oblivion as a result,
Or a franchise that was owned by the league and just sold by them to a private owner.

The Boston Celtics or LA Lakers? You have a better chance of putting a tooth under your pillow before you go to sleep and finding a quarter replacing it when you wake up.

TJ,

Understood. I don't think it was so much that the Warriors took their foot off the gas as they're out of gas.

Brooklyn should send the Celtics a thank-you card for making the Warriors expend so much energy against Boston.
