when you go to post a reply, right next (left of) to the button for "link", there is a button for "image". Click that, and copy and paste the URL.
gyso,
Bam.
That way is pretty simple... no downloading, or uploading, or saving, or hosting
NES,
That is the part I am missing. I use the Image button after I turn the picture (jpg) into a URL.
When I see a picture on the internet, how do I see it's URL to "copy and paste"? Right-click doesn't have a "Save as a URL" option.
I have a PC, it may be different on a Mac.
Am I once again missing the obvious? It won't be the first time. Please advise.

Re: You create the caption
gyso,
You have to click on the image in your browser, then right up where you would type in an address (say google.com) there should be a long string of text. That is the URL. No conversion necessary. From there, you merely highlight it, right click it and then click "copy". From there, follow the instructions I gave to bobh.
So, for example:
1. I searched google in another window for "funny basketball pictures".
2. I found an image I liked in the search results.
3. I clicked on the image, which brought me to the website that hosted it originally.
4. I clicked that thumbnail (smaller image) to yield the full size image.
5. I went up to the top of the browser window and copied the URL (which appears like this: http://www.best-basketball-tips.com/images/jasonkidd-funny.jpg
6. Then, I clicked the "image" button located between the "link" button and the "host an image" button.
7. I then pasted the URL (from step 5) into its appropriate field (a small dropdown "link" symbol") (you can paste using the command ctrl v, or by once again right clicking)
There should be no difference between PC and mac. I'm not sure if any of this makes sense, haha.

Re: You create the caption
That doesn't work for me at all. When I pick on an image, nothing happens.
I view a gallery and search for a funny picture. Here is one I found in a gallery:

When I pick (or click) on the picture, nothing happens.

In Internet Explorer you can right click a picture and select properties, the URL will be in there.
In Google Chrome you right click and "copy image url"

I never thought this pic had anything to do with the loss, at all, not even close! The score was not posted in the pic, so how that has anything to do with it, is beyond me.
But look, Sam, Mustang, Jeb, go together last night to watch the Lakers game, how cool is that.
I have said all I can say about your objections. Sorry you feel this way.

Pete,
I have not finished reading the rest of the thread yet, but could not let this one slide by. I just got back home from SF. Viewing the Lakers game with Sam, Jeb, and BobHeckler was a great experience. I had the Lakers getting their $ss handed to them, and both Jeb and Bob trying to comfort me that the Lakers would play a stronger game when they returned home. Boy they sure did. As far as this thread, it does not bother me at all. I think things like this can only improve the board.
Tj, this is one method that Sam and company are trying to make the board even better. Sam asked the group, including me, on ideas to make the board even better and more enjoyable than it already is. I have been trying to come up with some ideas to email Sam off board, but have not thought of anything yet. To bad I could not take credit for this idea. I am ok with it as long as it is not a pile on attempt agaist ONLY the Lakers. But then again, it is a Celtics Board. Some times you have to take posts on a Celtics site with a grain of salt if your a fan of another team.
Now for the caption. "Kids wil be kids. Pau, have you seen his mommy?"

TJ-It seems to me that alot of the subjects on this board seem to bother you.
You took me on after KG's "incident". It is obvious to me that you are not looking at alot of these subjects with an open mind. That is unfortunate for you. We, on this board, are all die hard Celtic fans. Some see the world through green glasses (like myself), others are more open minded. However, we all have one thing in common and that is that we all love the Celtics. I am sorry that it seems that you are so offended by these topics. However, it is what it is. Live with it or leave.

Okay, here's where I'm going to potentially overstep my bounds, and I mean no offense to you specifically, Rosalie. In my opinion, there is no reason to continue to harp on this. TJ has apologized for "stirring up a bee's nest", and this thread has since been refocused. Furthermore, his posts following the events that transpired in this thread have been nothing short of constructive. He has been engaging members of this board in thought-provoking, basketball-related, interesting discussions. I don't think there's any need to continue to beat a dead horse. It's time to let bygones be bygones, and bury the hatchet. His future actions will determine his fate here, and so far, it seems that he has received the message.
Sorry, Sam, and other moderators if I have gone too far here.
