There is hope tonight IMO. I watch the Celts a lot and they lay eggs sometimes. They have already played 38 games (most in the NBA), which is brutal, and fatigue is showing. Rockets are tied for fewest at 32 games.

I expect it will be ugly ball. Celtics brick a lot of open shots, which is their main weakness. Their defense is very disciplined and the Rockets might have a rough time getting open 3s.

Kyrie is a very dangerous closer if it's close. Tatum is very good and makes plays and shots rookies don't normally make.

I get that D'Antoni was a large part of Harden's renaissance last season But man, the Rockets have had so many games during his tenure characterized by lack of effort, intensity, and just a complete over-reliance on the incredible gifts of one player. Watching teams like the Spurs and Celtics and Warriors play actual team ball is starting to show a stark contrast between us and them.

The Rockets did not lose this game on the final 2 calls. They lost because they played like dog shit in the 2nd half.


Okay, you can blame the officiating. I choose to hold the team accountable, in part because 1.) there were only 2 officials tonight, 2.) teams do not have an impact on the calls, and 3.) if they play Rockets basketball, they win. They played stagnant, lackadaisical, uninspiring basketball in the 2nd half and that is why they lost, at least to me.

Smart is probably the peskiest, nastiest, craftiest defender in the league. Harden knows this. Dumb fouls. 

The best moment in this game is the scrubs from the Boston bench jumping up and down and laughing their asses out on Harden.

Game was rigged. The Boston Irish mob must have held the Ref's wife or boy friend hostage. 2 Offensive fouls on Harden? You don't call that. You don't call that KD foul on LBJ. You don't call that RJ foul on KD on Christmas.  (MY NOTE:  So, wait a second, you're saying the game is rigged because the superstars are supposed to get special treatment and they didn't?  And that's not being rigged?  Freaking idiot.)

Unless Marcus Smart is suspended for flopping and Brothers is admonished for falling for it, I'd like a refund for my NBA League Pass subscription. This isn't a valid product if the games are fixed. Perhaps the NBA has another Donaghy situation? The end of that game was a travesty; harsh suspensions are warranted.

He blatantly pushed off two times in a row right in front of the refs. They basically had no choice but to make the call. Harden needs to grow up & quit trying to manipulate the refs every play. I think their tired of it.

Love the diagram of the only play the Rockets ran in the second half.  Also I can’t figure out how to post it. But if you go to a game stat site that shows a shot chart.  Take a look at Hardens.  He shot all threes or paint shots. Not 1 single mid range 2’s.

I'm a business software analyst but this interface doesn't make it obvious. Clip and save the image to your desktop then use the Host an Image icon (fourth box group from the right, leftmost icon.)
