Jaylen vs. Steph
I made the outlandish comment a while back that I'd rather have Jaylen than Steph. I prefer Jaylen's age, health, defense, and low cost to Steph's, but how do they compare when on the court in this year's playoff?
Jaylen is averaging 17.8 ppg
Steph 24.4
Jaylen has attempted 215 field goals, made 104 for a .484 FG average.
Steph has put up 150 shots, made 70 for a .467 average.
Jaylen is 28/72 from three for a .423%.
Steph is 37/87 for a .425%.
Jaylen is 22/30 from the free throw line for a .611%.
Steph is 27/28 for a .964%

One is a:
lights out shooter,
2x World Champion,
2x NBA MVP,
5x All Star,
2x NBA First Team,
2x NBA Second Team,
NBA Scoring Champion,
NBA Steals Champion,
in the 50/40/90 Club
and the other one is none of the above.
Other than that, yeah, age and salary are the differences.

Re: Jaylen vs. Steph
Steph years one and two - 17.5 ppg, 18.6 ppg
Jaylen - " " " " - 6.6ppg, 14.6 ppg
Steph in first two playoffs ages 24 and 25 - 23.4 ppg, 23.0 ppg
Jaylen in first two playoffs ages 20 and 21 - 5.0 ppg, 17.8 ppg
Steph is 8 years and 7 months older than Jaylen. Given Jaylen's development, age,and salary, I would now still rather have Jaylen signed to a long term contract rather than Steph, great as Steph is. Steph has just passed his peak. Jaylen is not even close to his peak.
And then there's Jayson!

When you have Kyrie, Smart, and Rozier on your team, picking Brown over Curry is an easy choice
