Yup. Would much rather play Orlando than Indy in the opening round. I hope we catch them, but hats off to Toronto - nobody thought they would be this good after Kawhi left.

Tie game, 2.1 seconds left. Hornets ball. Raptor foul before the ball is inbounded. Rozier hits the free throw. Hornets inbound the ball, get fouled. Devonte Graham hits two free throws. 1.2 seconds left, Raptors miss three pointer.

Quite an end.

This was an early weekend GIFT!  We can't afford to give it back today against HOU.  I was not expecting this AT ALL.  I was looking at DEN to do the dirty work on Sunday.  I remember seeing CHA @ TOR on the schedule for LP and easily deciding this was a game not worth recording...IDIOT!  Now I'm kicking myself! Who would have thought CHA had it in them.

P.S. I should take my own advice as these games against sub .500 teams sneaking up on you and will determine who's in 2nd and 3rd in the East. I was just focusing on the Celtics. So far, TOR struck first post All Star Break. Now even if we lose to HOU, that's a crap shoot/horse race. BOS- 1 1/2.

Celts can move into a virtual tie with w win tonight.

There will be nothing virtual about it. It will be tied at 42-17 with both teams head-to-head @ 1-1 with March 20 @ TOR being the tie breaker if my math is right.

WE own the tiebreaker right now. We won 2 games vs 1 for them. One more battle this year.

This is a big loss. Celtics & Raps tied in the loss column. C's win tomorrow ties them for second & Celtics currently hold the tiebreaker

Really well coached team, constantly pushes the pace for finishes and kick outs, shares the ball, ton of shooters and has everything defensively with Giannis attacking all over similar to prime time KG.

Zion Williamson may not have started the season on time, but he’s certainly making the most of it now.

Williamson scored 24 points while shooting 11-of-16 from the field in the New Orleans Pelicans’ 116-104 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Smoothie King Center, their sixth win in eight games.

The performance was historic, too. The 19-year-old became the first teenager in league history to drop 10 straight 20-point games. Carmelo Anthony held the previous record, hitting the 20-point mark in nine consecutive games at 19 when he was a rookie with the Denver Nuggets.

Williamson is also just the fourth rookie in league history to have a 10-game streak of scoring 20 points, joining Donovan Mitchell, Joel Embiid and Blake Griffin.

“He’s a very smart player,” Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said. “He goes out and just plays. He’s not trying to do anything. That’s just who he is. He’s just going to play hard, he’s going to play for the team, he’s going to play to win games. When you have those three things, obviously you’re going to have some success with a guy that has the ability that he has.”

Williamson hit the mark fairly easily, too, averaging 25.5 points over that 10-game stretch dating back before the All-Star break. He’s put up 26.5 points per game in the four games back while shooting nearly 60 percent from the field. Friday marked the former Duke standout’s 14th game in the league. He’s only failed to reach 20 points in a single game twice.

The Pelicans had little trouble getting past the Cavs on Friday night, too. Collin Sexton led the Cavs with 31 points and four rebounds while shooting 6-of-10 from behind the arc. Kevin Porter Jr. added 16 points off the bench, and Darius Garland put up 15.

Brandon Ingram led New Orleans with 19 points and seven assists. Jrue Holiday added 22 points.

“We finally started playing together,” said Lonzo Ball, who finished the night with five points and 12 assists, via the Times-Picayune. “The whole team is back now. The chemistry is getting better and better over every game. Guys know where other guys are going to be at.”

Rooting for them, Pelicans vs Lakers would be a very entertaining series in 1st round. Shocking how easy he can score and bullyball on anybody close to the basket....

As far as the Celtics are concerned, the surprise party, if there is to be one, will begin on the 12th this month. That would plant the seeds of doubt. Anything less than that and I'll side with you.

Gotta love it, Toronto lost to Denver, 3rd loss in a row. Siakim in a midst of a shooting slump suddenly cannot carry them without Ibaka, Gasol and Van Fleet.

Lebron James with an amazing performance leading Lakers without AD to a win on second game of a b2b with a triple double vs Zion and Pelicans. Both stars carried their teams in a very entertaining game.

Now if only PHX can hold up their end of the deal and make it 4 in a row. While PHX is not in the chase, beating them at home is no easy task.

TOR continues on a West Coast run with Warriors, Kings and Jazz after PHX tomorrow. So three out of the next 4 are the ones to watch as these are games they should be winning against sub .500 teams. Nice!! Hopefully CHA's victory knocked them down a peg or two.

BOS is going to have to lick their wounds quickly from HOU and step up as MIL is on the horizon with a tricky game @CLE, @IND and the Jazz at home before that big one on the 12th. No rest for the weary. Then @TOR on the 20th. This is exciting!!

Looks like the Lakers have the worst possible week ahead of them.  PHI, MIL and LAC.  Only advantage is they are all at home.

Just a heads up.  We're in a position tonight if we win vs. BKN and TOR loses vs. @ PHX to take sole possession of 2nd place.  Not sure TOR going to lay a 4th egg, though!  But since they suck...
