At some point the "good" teams might think about resting their "good" players.  If so, we have a chance.

Celtics won in overtime on Sunday, and the starters played big minutes. Kemba will surely be sitting against us, and at the very least they might limit the minutes for the other starters.

if i was the boston celtics i would attack with full force. remember the celtics get memphis first rounder  in this years Draft




One Celtics writer said the Celts will definitely rest starters at least one of their last 2 games. Problem is if they decide to rest them for Thursday's game, then they don't play for a week before the playoffs start, and since they are playing well now, taking that long a rest is less than ideal.

I can imagine the look on Brad Stevens' face if anyone tried to tell him to adjust his coaching or planning so that the team could end up with the 14th pick instead of the 17th pick in a trash draft.

Theirs just no way that they are going to play their starters 30+ minutes tonight. I can see them playing the first quarter maybe maxing at 15 minutes tonight. And that’s about it.

I think you are going to be disappointed. Stevens wants his guys clicking for the playoffs. Maybe Kemba is limited to 20 or so because of his knee.  But, the players could play normal minutes but have the slight letdown of knowing they are locked into their seed.

Hopefully they rest starters against us (coming off the overtime game) and then just go reduced minutes in their last game.

great to see portland lost , boston should rest many of there starters , with memphis being only one win away for that 8th seed we should win this game

Why are everyone playing against Memphis like its so important for them? Both Toronto and Boston had their places secured and they played like they needed those wins so bad. Celtics were up 15 whole 4th and Stevens even put Tatum back in the game.

It's pretty transparent, they want the Blazers to try save them the trouble of playing the Lakers later in the playoffs

I question why Boston would play their starters The entire game for a game that doesn't matter to them.

You realize these game are about preparing for the playoffs right? Everyone is trying to improve chemistry and get plays down. If an NBA player plays in a game he's playing to win, regardless of the stakes. Do you want to get handed a win out of sympathy? Gotta be better than the opponent to win a game.

Whether it was for a pick, PHX or POR making the playoffs, or all the above it seems the message around the league is Get Memphis out and everyone else in.
