Re: Playoff Observations
I am a compassionate human being, however when it comes to KI I was wishing for a fractured ankle. He screwed the Celtic and set us back a few notches to where the team is now.
Remember if he stayed with Boston you would have gotten KD!
I wish as much bad luck to him while he is in the league. As far as I am concerned he is a nut job and pure scum!

They were talked post game that Tucker had gotten into Durants head, look out, Durant will go for 50 next game. His bodyguard was thrown out of Minneapolis arena and banned from Brooklyn also. What the heck was he thinking, putting his hands on Tucker. Next thing you will read is that there is a lawsuit against him!!! That would be a laugher
I disagree on Durant going for 50, he has always been a front runner, playing with GS and all their talent, he could play easy and free with no pressure; in his history with the Thunder, he could never carry that team even with Westbrook. I remember him shrinking in big games before GS.

Re: Playoff Observations
Wow! A lot going on this weekend in the playoffs. I think the Nets are learning just how important it is in the intangible part of the game that all the stars line up if you are going to make a run at the championship, no pun intended.
Heck, in the not too distant playoff past, Paul Pierce went down but came back to hang #17. A couple of years later, Kendrick Perkins went down but we didn't get back up. And just last year in the bubble, we were given the keys to the Finals, but somehow lost them on the way to the arena.
I don't remember the playoffs being so unpredictable and injury prone. We knew throughout the 80's that it was going to be Celtics/Lakers/Houston/PHI in the finals before the playoffs even started. We also knew the starting five were going to be around for all 4 rounds. I know...30-40 years ago. Get out of the past, old man!
If the Nets go down both Kyrie and Harden and they lose G5, then we'll start to see some panic in the eyes of the Chosen Ones. But as for now, move along, nothing to see here yet.
Strange conclusion to the PHX/DEN series. I'm no psychologist but the Jokic Flagrant 2/Ejection looked like the last straw to me, not only in the short term but the long term as well. It was an obvious F2 and I'm not sure why Reggie Miller was pushing so hard for an F1. This was a no brainer, poster child, Oxford English Dictionary with picture/video F2.
Add to that Jokic's post game interview. Yeah, he looked dejected but I wouldn't call him contrite at that time when he needed to address the incident to the public. Yes, he acknowledged the kid on court after the ejection as he was walking off the court and maybe that was enough, but he left a bad taste in my mouth at least that this season is over and he's over with Denver. We'll see. But for Denver this was backing up. They had made progress just like we had over the last few years up to this season. Denver's not going to get any better.
Michael Malone has to be cognizant that there's a good chance there will a call coming from their GM or ownership very soon for a "brief chat" with at least 2 other people in the room. Again, we'll see.
Credit to PHX. They didn't wast any time. MIL should act and do the same. Get this done in 6. You have been given the same keys to the ECF and Finals that we fumbled and bungled with last year. Make sure you hold on to them!! You won't get another opportunity.
Should be another interesting week this week both on and off the court.

Former Celtic Glen Davis tweets – then deletes – apparent joy at Kyrie Irving injury

Former Boston Celtics big man Glen “Big Baby” Davis turned the ire of NBA Twitter against himself on Sunday afternoon by making some comments about an injury sustained by fellow Celtics alumnus Kyrie Irving in a Brooklyn Nets playoff contest against the Milwaukee Bucks.
After Irving came down on Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s foot and appeared to sprain his ankle, Davis tweeted “That’s the same ankle [Irving] stomp on Lucky with … Lucky got his get back.” Davis was referring to an apparent snub the Nets star made after eliminating his former team in the first round that saw Irving step on the Celtics’ Lucky the Leprechaun logo at midcourt.
Twitter users were quick to pounce on the poorly chosen words, rightly taking Davis to task for appearing to revel in the injury to Irving.
At first, he tweeted “Y’all so mad,” seeming to revel in the ire he inspired. But soon afterward, Davis deleted the comments.
An apology would have been better, but it’s always a bad look to wish ill health on others in any walk of life — particularly over such petty things.
My comment: Use the link to see tweets, etc. that didn't get carried over in the copy-paste.

Re: Playoff Observations
I do not like to see players get injured especially during the p-layoffs.
The magnitude of injuries is piling up.
Jocic needs to grow up.
Suns are the real deal
Nets look vulnerable
At the end of the day tons of teams will be lining up at the disability window to explain why their team lost.

Yes, Article 1.
I actually think Glen Davis was astutely commenting on the irony of Kyrie using that foot to disrespect Lucky, and then a week or so later his own luck changed.

dbrown,
I did NOT see Phoenix sweeping Denver. I don't think Mike Malone gets fired unless The Joker is done with him first. Having said that, yeah, this was not a pretty, well-fought exit for the Nuggets and will make people wonder why it happened.

Re: Playoff Observations
Denver really missed Jamal Murray. You know him. he is that kid that lit Boston up a few years ago and had many big games last year in the playoffs.
Any team with a one/two punch that losses one of them is going to struggled in the playoffs to win.

Irving will miss G5
Harden's hammy is not healed yet. So their big 3 has turned into the big one.
Look for the Bucks to knock the ever living crap out of Durant.

How much and how many runs does Philly have to go on before Nate calls a timeout? Familiar territory aye?

I still see Embid not getting through the playoffs. His knee was bothering him last night. Take him off the court and clown show Dwight Howard steps into the fold.
The Sixers should have won the game. Embid went 0-12 in the 2nd half and 4-20 in the game. The Hawks were horrible shooting the ball but they put up 101 attempts. It is a best of 3 series now and fingers are starting to tighten around the neck of the Sixers.

UTAH better watch out. The Clippers are finding their stride and the 31 and 31 points put up by KL and PG was supplemented by Morris. The 3rd guy is the difference maker.
Anyone know if Mike Conley will get back?

The announcers in the Clippers game mentioned Chauncey's work with PG3 on his PG skills and decision making.

Every team has key players banged up, Trae also is dealing with a shoulder injury. Like I said, the normal regular season is grueling enough, Silver’s condensed schedule put so many players at risk, idiotic IMO

Re: Playoff Observations
Well, hate to put this so bluntly, but the Bucks season and future is down to one game. If they can't beat a Harden- and Irving-less Nets team on the road, it's back to hell in Milwaukee as a franchise. It really is that plain and simple.
Go ahead and let Durant go for 60. Jordan did it against us. And if I remember correctly, we still won that game. But better yet, have PJ Tucker lock him up one more time to make it abundantly clear his $@%%#^t stinks as well. Either way, tonight is the inflection point of all inflection points for MIL.
We'll see.
