Why is Jaylen Brown not signed to the super max yet?

I’m talking more about “Clutch genes” and really taking over when the game is on the line.
Ive seen the points scored but haven’t seen much of the latter from either to trust that they will come through.

I think we will need to define what clutch means. Are you referring to end of game execution? Last 3 -5 minutes of a game? Last possession? If Boston is down double digits going into the 4th QTR and one of our guys brings us back into the game, would that be a clutch performance.

I think the Celtics are blessed because they have 2 high quality guys on the team that have made it possible for the Celtics to be in the mix. Both of these guys have contributed greatly to the success of the team. Our standards are top end. You have to win the ring to really be great and we are still waiting for that to happen. That is a most difficult goal to accomplished. I trust the team to break through while being lead by the Jays. I'm packed full of optimism.

Yes. All of those moments I consider clutch. A “get out of my way. I’m taking over” type.
