Hauser movin' on up
Percentage-wise, Sam Hauser is now the 13th greatest three-point shooter in NBA history with his 315 makes in 740 attempts. He easily has more than enough makes to qualify for the official list of all-time league leaders in that category.
Ahead of him in 12th place by a beyond-microscopic six millionths of a point (.000006) is a slightly more prolific shooter named Steph Curry who has made 3,683 of them in his career.
Here's how they stand after today's game:
12. Curry - .425682
13. Hauser - .425676
And to think Hauser was undrafted and makes a paltry $2 million a year to launch his bombs for the Celtics. Lucky us.
By the way, the better three-point shooter in the Curry family is Seth, who is #8 all-time at .431. I imagine there has been some ribbing among the Curry bros about that.
Here is the list prior to today's 10-13 shooting game from Sam. With that performance he leaped over BJ Armstrong, going from 14th to 13th:

Re: Hauser movin' on up
After Curry shot 4-13 on threes last night, Sam can now officially claim to be a better three point shooter than Steph, .4257 to .4255. And he jumped ahead of Steph into 12th place all-time. Sam has bragging rights at least until the next time they play...

Re: Hauser movin' on up
With his 7 for 8 tonight on threes moving him to .4295 for his career (he missed his first one then hit seven straight) Sam jumped over Steve Nash and Kyle Korver and is now 10th all-time in three-point percentage. Next up in 9th place is the legendary Steve Novak at .4301. Top Ten all-time sounds nice for Sam. Then he can set his sights on the better-shooting Curry, Seth, who is #8 at .4308. Our undrafted sharpshooter is amazing. And can play defense too. Who expected that?
