All I know is Steven A. is eating crow and stuck with the Timberwolves as his pick to win it all after jumping the Celtic Ship with no life raft. Anthony Edwards has learned an early critical lesson of all potential superstars...well a couple.

As I type this I'm still waiting to watch the yakity-yak from Edwards after the game, but I better see some humility out the wazoo because his should come to the podium with his mouth surgically welded shut by his teammates. Nothing on TNT. On to SportsCenter.

2. Quit Reading Your Own Headlines!! You're just not that good yet. You know nothing. Nobody cares and nobody's watching. And if they are, early on, it's only to see you self-implode which is what's going to happen come Thursday. Just ask Michael, Lebron, Kobe at this same stage of their careers. (Bird and Magic didn't have to go through all that) Those guys weren't going anywhere at those stages and looked hopefully awful and had no help. Edwards has a very long road ahead of him with lots of twists and turns. And he could be one of those unfortunate ones that winds up in the Charles Barkley School of NBA Title Wannabes. Strange to me that obvious reasons for certain outcomes gets overlooked by the NBA experts.

Case in point.  OKC getting beat up at home against the Mavs.  Or, The T'Wolves going from predator to prey.

When Dallas made the trades to get PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford it really changed their profile.  I always liked PJ but I have been blown away by his shooting and all around physical play and defensive abilities.  OKC will probably lose this series because Dallas is pounding the living crap out of them.  Holmgren looks like he weighs a buck fifty.

How is it that a guy wins DPOY and he cannot cover a ham sandwich.  I can not recall seeing 2 so-called high quality centers get abused like this.  Someone may want to call the ASPCA cause I see a couple of dogs getting whupped bigtime.

Wow after starting game on a 9-0 run, Nuggets being pulverized as Wolves on a 26-2 run, making score 26-11. Now 29-11 after a 3 by Edwards!!!!

Denver loses by 45...AND THE MEDIA WILL STILL SAY THE NUGGETS ARE BETTER THAN BOSTON!

All I know is the Celts finished the first 2 rounds
8-2. No other team came close.

This is a very even matchup.  2 quality teams going back and forth.

The media is Anti-Celtics.

So we lose 1 game at home in both series and that is a problem.  Yet no ones talks about all the other teams with multiple home losses in the same series.

They barely mention our 4-0 road record.

While every team but the Celtics are still trying to win their series our guys earned a few extra days off and more prep time for our next victim.

Pacers, Mavs and Nuggets all favored in their next game.  Home court edge.

For tonight, I am hoping Indy wins and we all see a NYK-IND game 7 on Sunday.

For OKC, a win on Saturday sets up another game 7 on Monday.

For Sunday, we already have a MIN-DEN game 7.  Are they waiting on NYK-IND results before setting the time?

Meanwhile, we wait . . . . . . . . . .

It looks like we got our wish.  NYK-IND game seven!!

This is turning out to be an exciting weekend for the NBA.  One game six today, followed by two game sevens on Sunday, again followed by a potential game seven on Monday (depending on the result of Saturday's game).

Go OKC!?!



And there we are at the bottom, waiting patiently for a Tuesday ECF Game 1.

Great game between Mavs and OKC with the Mavs winning at the very end. Kyrie is one amazing player when he wants to be, and he really looks good with Luka.

I am actually really glad for Kyrie, and I've always liked Luka.

That game between the Thunder and the Mavs is the kind of game that makes the NBA so very great for me. Right down to the final two seconds. Mavericks 117-116. Now to see which of the two teams they play next. Denver or Minnesota.

I don’t know who I would rather play next, but I am leaning toward the Knicks. Knicks vs Pacers, I’ll be watching.

It appears Kyrie finally has his head out of his ass.  Good for him.  His whole demeanor has changed.  I've been one of his worst and harshest critics here.  I will gladly shut my trap.  Equally, there have been no national nor world save the whales outcries the last couple of years after COVID and vaccines left the building so he has been focused on the task at hand (actually, I'm a bit surprised he hasn't barked about Hamas/Israel/Middle East and sat out the rest of his career until that is resolved but hey, that's just me).

OKC decided to play with their food for just one game. It was a critical, pivotal G5 at home but it turned out to be their death. Larry Bird teams coveted and guarded home G5's like they were gold. I'm pretty sure they were whatever and 0. If not very close. Boston should take note as there can be no food playing going forward. Just slight miscalculation and we'll be taking our seats alongside OKC for belly wash, popcorn and Twizzlers.

But if DAL and BOS are so fortunate to meet in the Finals, we have a little item about Lucky that will be resolved to Kyrie's unfortunate demise and to my complete satisfaction.  So if you want to know who I'd like to face if we make it...there you go.

P.S.  CorkyM, that was a crazy, great game that was more like a G7 than a G6.  The refs got that call right in the end.  Glad to have you on board!  

P.S.S.  worcester, I'd like Luka too...if he were on our team!!

Luka as a Celt? Would you trade Jayson for him? Numbers would work prolly, but I bet Jayson will have a 4-5 year longer NBA career.

I wouldn't trade anybody for him!  He'd come off the bench!!

I know, I know.  It will never happen.  I was just mouthing off.  But one season for all the marbles.  It would work.  Wyc is loaded and can afford the $200,000,000 tax!!  One owner will eventually do something like that.  Might as well be Wyc!

Also, does anyone use Statmuse? I just stumbled upon it. Ask it any question like Jeeves. Pretty cool for the self-proclaimed Village Idiot of Technology. Larry was 13-6 in home G5's.

Here's the playoff bracket before today's games.  Two game 7s:




Knicks-Pacers:  The winner plays us in the ECFs.  Will OGA and/or Josh be available to play or is it up to the bench?  Even if they do play, will they be at 100%?  Health plays a big part during the playoffs and the Pacers are relatively healthy.  

TWolves-Nuggets: The winner slides in next to the Mavericks for the WCFs.  Murry is a game time decision, so health of players in in play here as well.

Two Game Sevens on a Sunday in May!!  I love it when a plan comes together!!!

Every delay buys more recovery time for Zinger. I hope we can win the ECF in 4 games without him so he's really healthy and fresh for the NBA finals. Also I hope the WCF GO TO 7 games, so all our players are well rested and healthy.

One more comment about Luka vs. Jayson, Tatum rarely misses games because of health issues. Doncic misses 15+  games a year.
