Despite all the apology tour for Kryrie and the media pushing his "change" in direction, you can't change your stripes.  Everybody's on a mission.  If Kryrie was on a mission, he and the Mavs would not have blinked in our recent game of chicken with them and they would have swept the TWolves.  

What Perk has forgotten, and I'm surprised at him if that's what he said, is TEAM beats individuals every single time.  That's how we beat Kobe & Co. the first time in 2008.  We've got 17 banners to prove that maxim each time.  I'm liking more and more for MIN to be the first team to pull off the 0-154.  They have two remaining games at home potentially and they just beat the Mavs in Dallas.  I think Perk may have meant DAL should be shaking in their boots!!  I can't believe those MIN fans are going to let the Twolves lose G5.  Besides, Ant-Man has a pair of new shoes to deliver to that Cowboy player.  That wouldn't be very nice of him to go back on his word!  So that's going to be one sphincter-tightening G6 for Kryrie and the boys.  It would behoove DAL to get this mess over G5 so they won't have to deal with their ensuing implosion.  But if it doesn't happen this round, while not likely, I can assure you it will happen in the Finals.

Here's another subtlety I've noticed with those listening to Frist Take that Steven A. is in way over his head in these playoffs and is not seeing straight.  I can understand this as he has been jumping perceived and unperceived ships trying to pick the winner from the start.  Perhaps I'm the only one watching this show daily lately, but yesterday Mad Dog Russo was on the show as he is every Wednesday.  Mad Dog put this out there, though, that regardless of who the Celtics opponent will be in the Finals, the Celtics will be HUGE Favorites.  

Steven A., and I can't remember if this was his response to Mad Dog, vice versa or who spoke first and put that out there, but Steven A. says if it's DAL vs. BOS, it's a pick 'em series.  This idiotic response goes to show he's about to jump on the Mav's train here for the Finals.

Why you might ask?  Mad Dog is an avid gambler.  He unabashedly admits that on the show or others point that out  about him.  He's probably a part-time bookmaker/handicapper as well.  You have to be if you are going to be successful at gambling or make it worth your while.  Why and how has Steven A. now coming out like he knows anything about gambling and making books?!!

I'm also stepping out of my Celtics hat since I've had some experience in this area on the bad side and am being objective.  Mad Dog is CORRECT.  Steven A. is trying to back load his heart into the Finals and is going with show, which is his nature.  You can keep jumping ships.  That's your prerogative.  Eventually you will get down to 50% with two teams left.  But after tonight, and DAL will wrap this all up tonight, he will be a man without a team in the Finals and should keep his mouth shut.  Anything else his says about who's going to win the Finals should and will go on deaf ears.  His credibility has been shot.  

Go with Mad Dog.  Now, Celtic hat back on!!

I love that expression, Rosalie!  MIN didn't understand that defense is an all the time thing.  However, Boston does.  That showing should put to rest any argument about them having the #1 defense in the league.  That belongs to BOS.  And while to date we have not seen our defense fully operational, that showing has been timed perfectly to start next Thursday.  

No offense to MIN, but what they need to do in the offseason is get rid of clueless Coach Chris Finch.  That dude really dropped the ball by doing practically nothing.  The give the ball to AE strategy was smoked out in G1.  He's taken them about as far as one can go.  After that, trade away the dude that said MIN would win the next three games.  Don't know his name.  Don't care.  Trade him.  This should put now silenced Mouth of the West AE on notice.  When the heat got turned up, AE wilted.  If you're going to run you mouth, please have something to back it up.  There is an art to trash-talking.  You ain't got it.  Google Larry Bird.  Hopefully MIN's upper management won't bumble around and blow AE's trajectory.  But if you want to roll the dice, unless you have Danny Ainge or Brad Stevens in your front office, the odds are really good you're going to jack this all up.

P.S.S.  The next person's mouth to be surgically closed will be Luka.  He's a little bit of an ass.  He's not trash talking.  He's flown off the handle.  Combine that with what we owe Kryrie for stepping on Lucky and you have a redemptive Finals for Boston on so many levels.    It would behoove Boston fans to not poke the bear, shut their yaps during the game when Kryrie handles the ball and completely ignore him.  You saw how he took all the Ant-Man and others commentors from MIN.  That kills the narcissist, flat-earther, save the whaler every time.  Lack of attention.  Ignore him.  Let the players take him out.

Rosalie, You must have a better memory than me, because I don't remember saying anything about Kyrie changing his spots. However, having just come back from Columbus, Ohio where the Earth is totally flat for miles on end, Kyrie may have a point.

With the media's recent deluge of the Kryrie Apology Tour, Kryrie is not asking for forgiveness nor is he he offering it.  What in the world provoked this?!!!  His recent behavior over the last couple of years is who he is.  He hasn't "grown up" or taken responsibility or anything.  Much more importantly, nobody cares.  There is a very simple transaction involved here.  We pay.  You play.  We watch.  We incessantly run our mouths.  That's it.  Beyond that, we don't care.  And since we live in America, I/we can say just about anything I/we want within reason and not have to worry about Jack Squat nor any consequences.    

Nor should we or anyone like a Steven A. Smith or a Jay Williams or a Kendrick Perkins apologize to Kryrie or feel the slightest bit of guilt for our/their comments about his performance on and off the court.  When you are in the spotlight, all parts are your life are fair game, professionally and personally.  Take it or leave it.  You did try to do/have both!  Otherwise you would have that checking account with 2 commas in it to soothe you through our savage tirades.  No one is apologizing nor is going to apologize for comments about you being a schmo when clearly you were one.  If they do, then they're just as big an idiot as you, Kryrie.  This is what you signed up for.  High water covers a lot of stumps.  

But alas, in the media's infinite wisdom, this is the best story line with which they could come up.  The rock that is getting stuck in their throats and causing them to asphyxiate is having to utter the 3 words they never wanted or want to hear or say ever again...Boston Celtics - Champions.  Go on, cough it up, breathe and save yourselves because we will have no mercy on your soul-less souls 4 games from now.

Defense by committee but the co-chairs are Jrue and Derrick.  JT and JB can switch off at times when necessary.  Don't want Al getting caught up in the switch but that's where Kidd will go.  Occasional flash double-team with recovery to shake things up but that needs to result in a turnover and never give those two clowns the same look should do the trick.  But these Finals and these match ups will be the ultimate reason we got Jrue.  All the rest of his defendees have left the building with Elvis.  Jrue's going to be busy but he can hardly sleep for the next 7 days in anticipation of pulling this off and neutralizing "the greatest scoring/closing backcourt of all time."  Please.  Yeah, we'll see about that.  Going to ask dboss for a loan right around the size of his paycheck.    

I like the pester the crap out of Kryrie with P-Squared idea!  That could be very entertaining!

I can definitely see Payton slithering all they way up Kyrie's skin . PP is just as fast and stronger and tougher. DW and Jrue are outstanding. As they say, defense wins championships.
