P.S.  Historically, I can assure all of you no one will remember G4 if we come out and take care of business in G5.  I tried to create a theoretical logic math statement that would explain what is going on with Playoff Series Basketball as it pertains to G4 and G5.  

Define 

x: x = The total points the Celtics score in any one game
y: y = The total points the Mavericks score in that same
z: z is defined as z = |x-y| : |x-y| = |y-x| = a positive whole number/integer.  In other words, if you wind up with a negative answer, drop the negative sign.

For Example in G4, x= 84, y = 122.  |x-y| = |-38| = 38.  Also, |

Define B18 for G5 such that B18, where x>y implies one more victory = +1.  Therefore, 

For all z, z = 1 = B18, where x>y.

It would be difficult for the Celtics to play much worse than they did in game 4.

A win tonight would be special, for a number of reasons.

1. The date, June 17. That was the date of our last championship.
2. Winning at home. The fans would appreciate that, especially the ones who attend the game.
3. Closing it out in 5 games. That takes the worries and stress out of a game 6 and/or 7.

On another subject, who else thinks ABC is the worst option for these late night games? They barely have 5-10 minutes of post-game interviews and/or commentary before switching over to the local 11:00 news. Much of those 5-10 minutes are spent on commercials.

All good points, gyso.  Yeah, not sure what they are trying to pull with the whole ABC/ESPN hand off.  I just record NBATV post game and watch everyone parade in front of the mic for questions.  There is also yakitty yack post game on the court sidelines with the commentators.  I'll have to pay attention to what I'm recording.  But those two usually put me to sleep.

And by having ABC do the games, any away game halftime talk is blocked for NBC/TV sports, that usually do pre, halftime, and post game reporting. If they do win tonight, my guess will be that NBC will have to wait to start their reporting until after the awards So, is there anyone else here that thinks if JT has a big game tonight, he sneaks by JB for MVP?? JB blew a golden opportunity to walk off with that trophy, Now??????????????

Great regular seasons do not always result in adding another banner.

This year was different from start to finish.  The Celtics maintained a very singular focus all season long as nothing could stop them from winning.  

All the critics have been silenced and all the doubters have lost their voices.

A new standard of excellence has been established.

Parade Friday, hope it cools down just a little. and does not rain!!!!! What a great season to be a Celtics fan. I am overjoyed for these guys

Yes, I have been immensely enjoying the various versions of such compilations. Except Perk. I just fast skip his segment.

I was betting it wouldn't take long for the haters to get back on the hate train, but 24 hours was a lot shorter than I was thinking!  

I've gone from someone who predicted with little or no accuracy (as a matter of fact one who told all to bet the opposite of what I said!!) to one who is like a dboss who rarely misses.  I've got some things in mind for the Celtics going forward but I'm going to enjoy this Banner 18 for just a little bit before putting my next prediction out there.  It may not be the truth and if it isn't, it will be very close.

I am just enjoying every minute of this that I can. I will probably never watch ESPN again with the voice on. Will be forced to watch, but, for now, thank God for radio. I also am enjoying the news that Wyc has said that as far as he has been told, Al is coming back next year. I am happy about that. Know his role and minutes will change but the glueguy is still going to be on the bench
