112288: These are tough times for many. I lost my DAD on 12/27/10 and Thursday would have been his 87th birthday. It's hard to get over grief, but what you are going through has helped me refocus some of my energy towards support for your daughter and her situation- Keep on Keepin' On-MD!

I'm sorry to hear of your dad's recent passing. I'm sure you will celebrate his upcoming birthday by honoring his memory with thoughts and stories from his life. I hope the good times and memories of what he contributed to you will keep him ever-present.

You always mix a good dose of humor and thoughtfulness in your posts. If those are traits you got from your dad I'm sure he was an interesting gentleman.

I also hope you and your loved ones are doing well.

Your kind thoughts and words are well received. My Dad was fun loving and lived life to the fullest prior to the last 8 yrs. which saw him endure a 5 way bypass following a heart attack, a busted hip, and a stroke which left him with Alzheimers & Parkinsons. It was difficult to see him deteriorate from those conditions.
