Re: Boston signs Leonardo Barbosa
Listening to the local CSNNE sports news, Jackie Mac said she was not impressed with the signing at all. Not much of a reason given, just that she wasn't too enthused about it.
Sometimes someone gets a new set of surroundings, works with a completely different group of people and they do change their way of doing things. I am not saying this will happen, but, who knows. The Celtics, over the years, have taken on players who thought they were going to play one way and turned completely around. Doc has a way of working with guys and convincing them to play his way. We can only hope.

It just occurred to me that, with the Barbosa signing, the Celtics now have two former 6th Man of the Year players coming off our bench (Jason Terry being the other).

Nice clips Bob. That is pretty much what I think of when I think of LB. A blur. I think of him more in terms of layups than I do his outside shooting. No one in the league has anywhere near our guard quickness. Think about it, last year and the years before, see Ray methodically go thru his game, fast forward, (and I do mean fast forward) to this, Jet, Lee, Bradley, Rondo, Leandro. Reckon Doc has got some small ball in store for us? If your going to get outrebounded you might as well beat them up the floor. On another note it might be that LB might be able to communicate with Melo better than most.

Tardust,
A consistently fast pace could even help in the rebounding department. If opponents are subjected to unusual fatigue as the game progresses, by the fourth quarter, they may be less likely to exert the extra effort needed under the boards.
I'm telling you, there's just nothing quite like up-tempo basketball that's played under control. I'm all verklempt just thinking about it.

He's too emotional to write, so I'll give you a topic...
The "hit and run" is really the "run and hit"...
Talk amongst yourselves...
