Celts vs. Cavs:
# 51: The energy in transition displayed by the combination of Rondo, Nate and Tony.
Celts vs. Nets:
# 52: The scoring, rebounding punch, agility, and late game energy shown by KG despite getting kicked in the knee and grimacing for a while.

KG fought like a true champion thru that game. My biggest problem was watching Glen Davis walk up the court while everyone ran by him, not positioning himself under the basket for a rebound. Tired?? He's too young to be tired!!! Bad habits I think

Celts @ Pistons:
# 53: The emergence of Sheldon as a productive playing partner for Glen Davis in a dynamic small combination.
# 54: The versatility now available to Doc in meeting the challenges of various situations and matchups.
# 55: The adrenalin infusion of which Nate is capable.
# 56: Doc's recognition of the fact that "a movement set" can be really productive.

Celts vs. Bobcats:
# 57: Nate now established as "The Energizer."
# 58: Paul Pierce back on track, effectively going to the hoop, hitting perimeter shots, playing good defense.
# 59: Bench consistently increasing the tempo when they come in.
# 60: Celtics getting good open perimeter shots.

I really like how KG is going down low on offense and mixing it up and establishing himself as a threat down there. No more settling for 20 foot jumpers. Stand and fight.

Jeb,
Yes, and that's very deliberate based on what he's said recently. Good to see.

Not bad. I was glad to see them hold that lead throughout the whole second half. Only problem was the lousy fouls they called on Ray while he was playing defense on Jackson. He did a great job and took him right out of his game. May not have had it going offensively but he sure played a terrific game while he was in. The other plus was the starters played hard yet got to rest in the fourth quarter. Now, this is not a time for let down.
I will be watching Friday, but then am gone to Vegas for a week so I will miss the three games starting Sunday night. Hopefully the sports bar at the Mirage will have them on screen so I can Watch!! I guess that is one way to keep away from the machines!! Anyway, I hope this keeps up. KG looks like he is turning a corner and PP looked great last night. They are going to need him and his game if they are going to compete at all.

Rosalie, you gambler you, I hope you have a great time in Vegas. You can be sure the bar at the Mirage will be able to display Celtics games, so just stick to your guns and demand it.
Here's hoping that, by the time you return, the Celtics will be on cruise control—or at least going in that direction.
Stay safe,
Sam

Our bench consists of:
* Rasheed Wallace
* Marquis Daniels
* Nate Robinson
* Glen Davis
* Michael Finley
* Tony Allen
* Brian Scalabrine
* Shelden Williams.
I'd call that pretty darn deep. We should be able to give the starters, and especially the 30 plus crowd, fewer minutes until the playoffs. I say forget the seedings, and rest the older players.

Celts @ Bucks:
# 61: Michael Finley joins the team and sinks his first two perimeter shots as though he's been here for years.
# 62: Bench is now extremely deep and, without having sorted out who does what and when, nonetheless is playing very well at both ends.

Celts vs. Grizzlies:
# 63. Sheed playing some of his best defense of the year
# 64: Michael Finley looking comfortable sinking perimeter shots

If my memory serves me right, Finley also put a fake on a defender and turned an outside shot into a short-mid range shot. That means his shot still garners respect from defenders and he still has the wheels to take advantage of it.

Re: THE CELTICS GLIMMER THREAD - 70+, STILL GOING STRONG!! GO CELTS!!
Celts vs. Pacers:
# 65: Fluid execution: ball movement, good spacing, movement without the ball, ball-sharing, ran the first option early in the shot clock, pushed the ball up—all at the same time, and buth starters and bench involved
# 66: Stuck with a good game plan throughout the game
# 67: Starters set the offensive pace, bench expanded on it and played even tighter defense, and starters fed off the bench's energy
# 68: Killer instinct
# 69: Well-distributed scoring throughout the entire team
# 70: Depth permits quality seamless substitutions in case of foul trouble

Re: THE CELTICS GLIMMER THREAD - 70+, STILL GOING STRONG!! GO CELTS!!
Thanks to those who posted glimmers 73-78 (I eliminated one "balance" glimmer because of duplication:
Celts vs. Knicks:
# 79: Paul Pierce and KG finishing on multiple fast breaks.
# 80: KG spending more time in the low post.
# 81: Perk being very energetic under the offensive basket.
# 82: Defense owning the passing lanes and creating numerous deflections and turnovers.
# 83: Rondo focusing on playmaking and the scorers focusing on major scoring outbursts in 24 minuges apiece.
# 84: Moving the ball like a hot potato.

#86: 9 games to go and we're tied with Atlanta but own the tiebreaker due to us winning our division.
