He's been to the Finals 8 times and lost 5 times.

Laughing
Lebron's teams have been favored to win in 2 of those 8 finals. Blame someone else.

They have EIGHT players under contract for next year at 125 mill.  This counts Jefferson, who said he is retiring, Frye who didn't even play, and Shumpert, who was basically useless.

Unless they can field a bench, or make a trade, they may have one year left, maybe none!
And the Cavs are $28 million over the salary cap.

Hi,
I wonder what player(s) will be enough to knock out Cavs and go to face GSW next year?
Will an addition of Hayward do it? Or DA will have to swing a trade to get, say, Butler?

Kdp,

Danny wants to sign a big free agent (Hayward?).  He has structured several contracts specifically so he has the cap space.

He also has the #1 pick in the draft which could be packaged with other players under contract (e.g. Bradley, Crowder and Kellt in a sign-and-trade) for a 2nd elite player this year.

Danny could go all in and go for 2 more All-Stars to go with IT and Horford.  A "super team"?  Maybe but certainly better than the aging Cavs.
