Danny's happy that he now knows what he's working with.

This could bring Aaron Gordon who I like a lot!
Use Sully as a trade bait!

To be honest, I thought we'd get sixth. Our odds of getting a top 3 weren't that great and we couldn't get 4th, so sliding to sixth would be easy.

It could have been as low as eight. Have to look on the bright side, I guess. Anyone still think the Celts will get an impact center in the draft?

Every damn lottery we draft lower than expected. Jeez. Can't ever catch a break. And when we do have a high pick Len Bias happens.

Wow. They had a 1.7% of #1 and they got it.

At least there will now be something to talk about based on some actual facts.

Looking at the T-Wolves roster, they'd probably love a SF/PF like Gordon.

Ok, this calls for a bunch of Anchor Steams. I'll figure out if it's in celebration of the potential of trading the #6 pick for Love or in commiseration that the balls didn't bounce our way after the 4th or 5th. Or maybe I'll keep going to six.
Cleveland? This is really fubared. This system is crap.

At 6, can Vonleh be an impact center? At 17, Clint Capela? Nurkic and Porzingis are nice offensive talents at the position but doubt either could play defense the way we'd like.

What would the Lakers be able to offer for Love? Gasol is too old for them to replace Love, those fans would go nuts. I guess this is going to be the hot topic until draft night.

The Lakers have 2 assets, Kobe and the 7th pick.

Kobe's going to be 36 in August and has had major surgeries in two consecutive years. Furthermore, he's going to make $25M next year and the year after. NO WAY Minny will take that contract.
Unless Love turns into a complete creep, he will NOT force Minny take complete garbage just so he can go to LA.

Re: 2014 Draft Lottery Day Thread
As I was saying earlier today, on this or another thread; in this draft we can pick up a decent player with #6.
I'd go as far as to say a near-term starter.
Vonleh might be there and we have a center. Smart, Harris or Exum and we have a 2-guard. Randle, and we have a power forward (figure we would trade Sully and or Olynyk). Hood and we have a small forward (although my guess is he goes a little later).
Or we could trade.
Not a complete loss at all. Not with this year's talent.
Although Jabari Parker in green would have been unreal...
