Tsarnaev's victims should be allowed to decide whether he gets life in prison or death penalty.

"Brandon Bass at the line shooting 3." At that to the list of things I didn't expect to hear from the Celtics this season.

Fun fact: For all the East-West outrage and call for a revamped 1-16 playoff system? The Celtics now have the 16th best record in the NBA.

(MY NOTE:  So much for the "we'd suck if we were in the WC.  We'd still be in the playoffs, we'd just be playing #1 instead of whatever Cleveland is)

(MY NOTE:  This would be Rich Gotham, President of the Celtics.  Everytime I hear his name I think they're talking about NY and I expect to see Batman swoop in)

Maybe the coolest thing about these Cs: the juxtaposition between their real confidence and their admission they don't have a lot of talent.

Gotten to point where Brad Stevens calling #Celtics timeout with 4.8 seconds on the shot clock is exciting just to see what the ATO will be.

John Havlicek

Marc D'Amico: John Havlicek: "If Oscar Robertson and Jerry West hadn't been around, Sam Jones would have been the best guard in the NBA." Twitter @celtics

Marc D'Amico: Havlicek on the Celtics breaking barriers: "We didn't know color on our team. We were all friends. That sort of set a trend for the NBA." Twitter @celtics

Biggest takeaway from last night's Celts game: John Havlicek doesn't look good... John Havlicek looks GREAT.

Marcus Smart said he didn't remember Havlicek's steal 50 years ago. "I was real young."

Actually, no, the Celtics would be 10th in the West, not in the playoffs.

Marc D'Amico: John Havlicek: "If Oscar Robertson and Jerry West hadn't been around, Sam Jones would have been the best guard in the NBA."

Thank you, John Havlicek, for stating what everyone should already know but so few do.

Always great to see John, although I actually thought he was walking a little gingerly.  He has reason to do so.

Also great to know that Sam Jones was included among the Celtics asked to attend last night.  I bet that meant a whole lot to a guy who has kind of been ignored by the Celtics.  I didn't understand the inclusion of Mel Counts, though.  Not a noteworthy Celtic and more of a Laker than a Celtic.  Maybe he offered to pay for Sam's plane fare if they'd let Mel attend.
