smallball doesn't always work, how many teams have 2 shooters like Curry and Thompson? size still does matter

Have you noticed that since 4/6/16 the Cavs have been going smaller by taking 275 lb center Mozgov out of the regular rotation and playing him considerably fewer minutes ? With him out of the lineup the Cavs are now playing without a true center. I guess you could call it "smaller ball".

swish good point, my points are unless you have 2 lights out shooters like Curry and Thompson, smallball might not work for you and that GS is feeling the loss of Bogut.

I would suspect that a team blessed with several high percentage shooters could also be quite effective using quickness and field goal accuracy as its principle offensive weapons.

Game 7 is the biggest game in NBA history? They always sell history short. Today's "thing" or flavor of the day is always sold to the masses as the biggest thing since time began.
I would think that they would start with this game being the biggest game in this NBA season and let history judge as to what is the biggest or greatest of all time.

and even though Mozgov went to bench, its not like Thompson is a little guy, Thompson does as good a job doing the dirty work as any 6'10" 4-5 in the league and Kevin Love is a big guy who had success on this playoff run, whats shocking is how little Love has contributed in this series.....and others have stepped up.

What we do know is it's definitely the biggest game today.

Harrison Barnes is now 2 for 22 in his last two games. Interestingly, Ray Allen holds the record for the worst shooting game in the history of the Finals:

What a performance by LeBron and Cleveland.
It's a well deserved championship for the Cavaliers and the city of Cleveland.
What do the LeBron haters have to say now?
He's on the Mt. Rushmore of NBA history!

Re: 2016 Playoff Thread
Curry and Thompson tonight: a combined 12 for 36, (6 for 24 on threes) and seven turnovers. Curry alone missed 10 three pointers (4 for 14) with a few of them not even hitting the rim. Shocking last three games for that 73 win team. Draymond Green almost single-handedly won it for them with game of his life. Curry and Thompson for the most part stunk up the joint. In a game for the ages. That three pointer by Kyrie Irving with 53 seconds to go was MASSIVE. It's going to be remembered as one of the biggest shots in NBA history. Good for him. He had to watch last year's Finals from his hospital bed.
I'm happy for the city of Cleveland, a city that has seen more than its share of tough times (and not just with its sports teams) in the last half century.

Re: 2016 Playoff Thread
Congrats to LeBron and the Cavs, they definitely showed a never say die attitude. LeBron with a great series, Irving with a huge three point shot late in the game, and KEVIN LOVE with some fantastic defense on Curry near the end. (Where did that come from?)
Must be fun in Cleveland tonight, probably similar to when the Red Sox won in2004.

After watching Harrison Barnes please forget that I mentioned him in the same sentence with a SF fit for Boston.
