hmmm

Pierce's Bane, from back in his Philly days?  Wearing green?  hmmm, indeed!

We don't have enough wings already? We can't just stack them in the garage "just in case".

Smart money is on players who stay home and cash in.

Not sure how this may effect Hayward's decision.

Stack 'em up like cord wood!

I guess that I should have elaborated a bit.  In case we don't sign Hayward, Iggy may be an interesting veteran presence for a short term contract.

Iggy probably will want the one last HUGE payday, so in that case, I am not really interested anymore.

Word is that he can come here and sign a three year contract with the last year at player's option. He can then opt out after two years with 10 years time in and then go for the big contract then.

Compared to just signing a five year now with Utah, he doesn't actually lose all that much in the long run.

That is just from what I've read.

Pat Riley has a huge poster of Hayward in Miami uniform posted outside arena.

Rondo waived, what happened to the guy who would have made the difference in
the Chicago series???? How the mighty have fallen. So much for him ever getting a
max contract. That personality of his cost him alot of money

Riley is a showman.

I think however Celtics fans need to take a step back and not over react. If Hayward goes to the Heat it does not really change the Celtics chances. Hayward is a SF and we have enough SF's to compete.

I am not really surprised that they waived Rondo. If Wade was under a team option they would have waived him too. They have entered a rebuilding mode

MY NOTE:  Think about THAT!!  It's like every team that isn't elite or close to it (read GSW, Cleveland, Boston, Houston) is just throwing in the hat and giving away their stars so they can start over from scratch.  GSW just broke the hearts and backs of 80% of the GMs in the NBA to where they aren't going to even try to compete.  Unreal...

MY NOTE: For the veteran's minimum, for one year? Sure. Lord knows we could use him. He doesn't have much left, he's 34 and didn't have much left last year, but for one year to stabilize our front court? Damn. I'm grasping at any straw now. LOL.

Agree. Boston has space to add Nene but if they decide to keep KO they could go in another direction

As of now i see

Amir
Zeller
Jrebko
Young
Green

Gone.

Replaced by tatum. Zixic, Yabu, Semi, unknown free agent big or the OSU rookie Thompson.

Redick desperate to get out of dodge? One year, 23 million, bamk it all JJ, you will never get that much again. What could he have made in LA? Or did they not care to keep him?

now I see it just the opposite.

Minny gets Butler and then signs Teague to create an up and coming team with the big KAT and Wiggins.

Rockets needed another all-star after their surprising rise last year and get Paul

OKl get Paul George and now they are back in the same position they were when Durant left.

Pacers and Clippers get SOMETHING for guys on the way out the door

Only the Bulls fit your explanation, IMO.

to you it looks like most teams have given up, I see three teams doing what they need to try to compete.

but hey, we still got our 7 first round picks!!

they got a good guy for their locker room. 11M, only one million from what he made here. He was a good and loyal teammate, the guys will miss him. I thought for sure he would end up back in Toronto, but they must not have wanted to pay him this much.

Goodbye Amir, thanks for the time you gave us here. I, for one, will miss you shooting three's when no one expected them! Good luck

Ginoc,

2 years ago when Danny signed him for $12M/year everybody thought he lost it.  Now, 2 years later and older, turns out to have been just about right.

$23M for Redick and $11M for Amir.  No big long-term free agents for Philly this year.  They better have a good year or the clock will start ticking.  Man does not live by draft # and potential forever and Okafor will be a RFA this time next year.

Are you serious about getting Paul George puts OKC  back in the same position as when Durant left? I have to believe you weren`t. None of the guys you mention get their new teams anywhere near the Ws , or for that matter , the Cavs. Why in the world would Ainge trade the future for a slightly better current prospectus? We`re not talking about trading for Curry , Durant or Westbrook here.

yep I sure do think that.

All three players are all-pro NBA players. if you make a real list of the top 15 NBA players all three would be in it. They will each make the teams they joined better.

Players like that don't grow on trees and last I checked Danny has zero on his roster right now.
