Look out for Philly in a couple of years.KyleCleric wrote:It's ok for him to be conservative. As a team, they're going in the right direction. If we compete now with developing talent, they'll naturally get better. With the east likely weakening and the Cavs on an expiration clock. We've a good shot of controlling the east soon regardless

Heard on WFAN Minnesota is looking to sign Kyle Lowry soon. Building a tough team. Lowry would really help them.

steve,
Lowry is 31, I think it's more of a short-term thing (although his contract might last for 4 years). What I'm liking more is what that would do to Toronto and, more specifically, the inclination of Serge Ibaka to re-sign there.

Lowry was really a late bloomer. Toronto really struggled when he got hurt. He would be a good fit with the Wolves who have done well for themselves putting together their own big 3. Add Lowry to the mix and that will be a team to watch.
I have had my eye on Serge for a while now. He is an all around player at both ends. Certainly not spectacular but he does so many things well and he can stretch the floor. I could see Boston offering up a 3 year deal in the $15 to $18 million level. Toronto however has a vested interest in keeping him.
But they muut replace the fire power of losing Lowry first.

It seems that Indy wants one of the young guy, Tatem or Brown. I pray that Danny does not give in to that demand.

I'd give up Jaylen Brown for Paul George. Provided he signs an extension with us.RosalieTCeltics wrote:It seems that Indy wants one of the young guy, Tatem or Brown. I pray that Danny does not give in to that demand.

How long has Dunleavy been in the league? Seems he has been bouncing around these last couple of years. Korver is a free agent too.
Some of these guys we so admired for so long for their three point shooting range may be reaching the end of the line

NO! To either Brown or Tatum, they are the future the Celtics are building for.

If you traded for PG and signed Hayward one of those young wings would be traded.

No way other wings, not them like Crowder and/or Bradley. They are the future as the Brooklyn pick. Ainge is building toward the future while playing for today. Not one single chance they are included.

Re: Free Agency 2017
It will be interesting to see how much anyone will be willing to pay Johnson.
If he is cheap enough I would not mind seeing him come back to Boston as a member
of the second unit. Good guy, good teammate, works hard, always hustles, professional
player in every way, but just not good enough to start for the Cs any longer.

Steph Curry has agreed to a 5 year, $201M contract.
That means Iggy will be gone.

Its all political, no real feud. His son is running for office in SLC and has to show as pro-Utah. They're all good.
Maxwell, on the other hand, sticks his big mouth in here where it doesn't belong. He could have just said that it is no big thing (which is the truth of it) but he has to invent a controversy, sell the big story.
[sarcasm] He is starting to fit right in with the rest of the guys reporting on the Celtics. [/sarcasm]

I really like Iggy, but he is 33. He shot .362 last year from 3. he'll probably want a four year deal that is too expensive.
