yeah thats the funny part this april 28th articulehttp://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/nba/cavaliers/2010-04-28-lebron-james-elbow-injury_N.htm?csp=34 says that as of then (april 28th) the elbow had been bothering him "for weeks"

assuming the minimaul amout of time then that this elbow has been getting better every day would be 2 weeks before april 28th- or since april 14th.

so we're now on day 125 of elbowgate at the very least

As a matter of fact, my elbow has been hurting for quite some time now. That's my excuse for not posting. Computer elbow. Ever hear of it?

Elbow Gate could be the excuse for when the Heat fall short of winning the title. I guess I should be thankful for enemy number one (Lebron). He has redirected some of the hate against the Lakers and Kobe to South Beach. I don't see nearly as much negativity towards Kobe since the Queen started upstaging him.

Jeb,
I had issues with Kobe in the past. I even sided with Shaq at the time when they had their spat. For a couple of years after the Kobe - Shaq split I had issues with Kobe. Great player, but somethiing always rubbed me a little wrong with him. I think he has gradually started coming around the past two years. Probably because he finally realized that he did need his team mates to when a title. After this year, he showed some leadership by publicly giving credit to his team mates. I think he has grown as a player and team mate. For that, I give him credit.

Lebron, uh.....don't even want to waste my time discussing his flaws.

I concur on your last two years statement. I think he realized he NEEDED his teammates. He played through some very real pain last year. Tough tough guy.

Kobe has my full respect as a player but not so much as a husband.

sure, i respect Kobe - how could i not. WITH HIS TEAM, he has recently accomplished some great things with the championships he's participated in, and he has an entirely admirable work ethic and skill set.

apparently King Nothing also has joined forces with one of the major elctronics companies and is coming out with a new set of headphones bearing his signiture.

I cant find the link but reportedly the headphones, like Lebron have no ring to them..

what kills me is that it took Kobe like 13 years to 'get it' and play like a top 15 all time player should. IMO LeBron should get SOME benefit of the doubt as there's still plenty of time for him to get it too.

I personally think the whole straight from HS era of players were utter and complete failures as they had all the talent in the world (J.O'neal, T-Mac, KG, Rashard Lewis etc) but they didn't have the intangibles that made them winners. Guys who went to college learned this to some extent (although not everyone who went got it either) and it made them more complete stars IMO. But that's for another post and discussion Very Happy

celticfan,

So, start a post with some thoughts and examples. Sounds like a good off-season thread to me.

only 100 hrs more till the invasion begins..!!! cheers cheers cheers cheers

though CF, we wont be seeing ur women I love you ( of whom i am already familer with and a big fan of- especialy the ottawa girls) or getting any of your beer since our entire journey will be inside Quentico, so we'll be relying on our own booze (bourdon for me, vodka for my canoeing partner). i do plan to annilanate your fish populations though. Oh and raising my own flag... LOL
