Oshae Brissett at the minimum would be very good value. Gives the Celtics a backup 4 to give them flexibility on what kind of player they target if they sign and trade Grant Williams or move Brogdon.

MY NOTE: 25 years old. 6'7", 210#. Played 4 years for Indy. Not a good shooter. Averaged 16.7mpg last year. I don't see it. Anybody know this guy?

Brissett would be an upgrade over Hauser behind Tatum. Not a big talent, but the price is right and he fills a need. Helps fill the role of a departing G Williams as well.

Max Strus signs 4 year, $63M sign-and-trade to go from Miami to Cleveland in a 3-team deal. An average of $15.75M/year.

Cleveland gets: Max Strus
San Antonio gets: Cedi Osman, Lamar Stevens + 2nd round pick
Miami gets: Cleveland 2nd round pick

We had Max Strus, as you all know. This is QUITE the paycheck for an undrafted player who made $1.8M last year.

To put him in perspective:

Max is 6'5" and shot 35% from 3 last season. He's a 37.1% career 3pt shooter. His DefRtg last year was 117, which is considerably higher than the 109.8ppg the Heat gave up last year. His OffRtg was 113, for a NetRtg of -4.

Sam Hauser, our "Strus replacement", is 6'8" and shot 41.8% from 3 last season. He's a career 42% 3pt shooter. His DefRtg last year was 113, which is slightly higher than the 111.4ppg we gave up. His OffRtg was 124, for a NetRtg of +11. Sam is under contract next year for $1.9M and also for 2024-2025 for $2.1M.

I have to believe Miami got a HUGE TPE out of this, which Riley might try to use with Portland to get Dame.

Brogdon, RWill and a sign-and-trade with Grant for Dame works.

That would give us a SIGNED roster that looks like this:

Bigs - Z, Al, Luke
Wings - Jayson, Jaylen, Oshae, Sam
Guards - Dame, Derrick, Payton

There's 10. We'd need another 4-5 to fill out the rest of the bench, but there's a 10 deep playoff squad.

Possible signings/additions include Walsh, JD, one of the SL bigs, Blake. Probably could use one more wing too.
