Yes, I do believe...
The Warriors have Toronto outmanned.
Warriors to take game 3.
I think I'll just shut up now.

Yes, he kicked his leg out on purpose to try and draw a foul. At least that's what it looked like to me.

Re: 2019 Playoff Thread
The difficulties associated with winning multiple titles are on full display.
That great 2008 Celtics team was hit with a rash of injuries after winning the title and were never able to regain their mojo.
GSW however still has a window to come back next year and win if they can stay healthy. 5 straight extended seasons has taken its' toll.

If GSW want to keep Durant and Thompson they will need to trade Green and maybe cut Iggy and decline the team option on Livingston. (Use the stretch provision on Iggy)

Q. Why did Danny not try to get Marc Gasol this winter when he was available? He would have helped us a lot.

The lack of activity by Boston at the trade deadline and the lack of activity to pick up a big man late in the season was surprising to me. Gasol has certainly solidified that Raptors club with his all around contributions.
I however do not know if it would have made a big difference if Boston had him. We had so many guys that under-performed in the Bucks series individually and collectively. It was a mess but all the signs were there during the season for all to see.
Did you know that Pascal Siakam worked out for the Celtics prior to the 2016 draft?
He went at #27. Boston reached at #16 with Yabusele and blew a second opportunity by drafting Zizic at #23. Zizic has become a decent rotation player in year two while playing 25 MPG scoring 7.8 points with 5.4 rebounds.
Danny needs to knock it out of the park at #14. If he moves up he needs to not make the same mistake him made jumping over the freak to snag KO.
Danny has a tendency to draft players even though certain critical flaws are obvious.

Re: 2019 Playoff Thread
Livingston has announced that he is retiring. Iggy said he thinks he may stick around one more year, it will be interesting to see if he does if it is not with GSW. Alot of this movement everyone is talking about could be just that, talk. Although I believe Irving wants out. It would not shock me to see Durant stay. Boy, they think it is great to have all this money floating around, but I believe it is ruining teams. It is the generation we are living in though. Sad to me, no continuity with teams any more.

Re: 2019 Playoff Thread
This actually pertains to the Stanley Cup Finals. I've mentioned this before I believe but since Boston is in this Finals and it looked like it was all over going into St Louis last night, this is even more relevant.
I am not much of a hockey fan but I will watch the Finals every year. I'm probably not the first one to say this but being an outsider, hockey is not made for TV! The puck travels way too fast and there are times when you can't see the puck when it's up against the front wall. I find myself choosing between watching the back of the net or watching the action.
But here is the reason I even watch hockey, for the novice, that is. Doc Emrick. Each year I have a greater and greater appreciation for how he calls a game. For one, he realizes my dilemma above. He actually calls the game like a radio broadcast. What I find truly astounding is he calls each pass and each player making the pass and receiving the pass. This is practically impossible because the lines are changing every two minutes max so he has to know all 30+ players.
His cadence really gets me. It is spectacular! Especially when a goal is scored! It is always at an excited pitch, yet at the end when there is a line change he will bring it down just a bit and catch his breath and then jump right back in on queue.
To me there is not even a close 2nd for someone calling a game. And I get to listen to a Game 7 Finals by him this week! Life is GOOD!!

Dbrown,
You're right about hockey. But in majority of cases if you know the game the movements of players and puck slow down for you. The same way as in basketball.
Regardless, happy for you since I'm enjoying the games myself.

Durant hurt again, grabbed his leg, the helped him off the floor. Not a good sign. My bet is he does not come back and......GSW is going to lose this game. Durant was playing so well offensively, the team is just playing terrible, turnover after turnover. Fouls galore. Missed free throws. The bright light is Cousens, he has had a good game so far, came in when Durant went out.
Toronto will be the new champs at the end of this game.

Do you think that Toronto will blow them out in the 3rd with Durant out?
I will be glad that a team other than Golden State will win the championship. But Toronto?

I do, Leonard has been relatively quiet first half, I think it is just a matter of when, I could be wrong, but Toronto is dying to end this tonight.
Well, GSW is back up 11, let’s see. If they pull this off, I really think Durant is done for the season. They are not talking.

Did you find it odd that Durant left the arena with his agent, walking on crutches? If that isn’t sending a message I don’t know what is.
Now the center Looney is out for the rest of the game
