I read somewhere that White never being picked for all-star or for all-NBA, and playing in the Olympics, is kind of unique. We all know that he was not picked in the top 100, so that may be even more unique when compared to past Olympics players on the USA team.

Maybe Derrick White is the Unicorn on the team!

And now, thanks to Cowens, I have a hankering for a brontosaurus burger. I haven't had one since my mom served them up to us kids back in the 60's.

I've said before that Jaylen needs to shut up about this, and I think he really has tried to distance himself. The media, of course, needs to keep jabbing at this to try and make it something bigger.

"Is the perceived snub going to motivate you further, Jaylen?" Have none of these reporters played a competitive team sport before? No; listen to his answer. He's trying not to call you a fool. It's not going to motivate him further. The man is a pro, he's 100% all in every day. If he needs or gets more motivation from this there's something that's been lacking in him the whole time.

It's not Nike, it's not politics, it's not his religion, it's not his diet or the way he ties his shoes. It is D White's fit and D White's time to maybe contribute some of his defense, which is more consistent and stronger against opposing wings than Brown's and a few others who were supposedly snubbed.

For the love of all that makes sense and to keep from boring us to tears, let's move on to reporting on the real stories around USA Basketball.

I agree. What is a shame is that the whole interview with JB wasn't shown. The USA snub was only one question. He talked about getting ready for the season and a lot of great Celtics things.

I would have loved to seen all of that. The under water workouts he has been doing for additional strength/explosiveness sure have been working well, as a case could be made he was the most explosive player in the whole playoffs. Trust me people at bbq’s told me. Wonder how he came up with that? Super creative, in the water less stress on the joints and resistance with the water and weights and his underwater gymnastics, looks pretty amazing, an athlete that size doing gymnastics under water!!

Stephen Curry and Joel Embiid will be participating in their first Olympic Games, while LeBron James has suggested that this could be his last. Team USA, with a legacy of securing only gold medals since the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, will aim to win their 17th gold medal at the Olympic Games.

The United States men's basketball team opens the 2024 Paris Olympics in its quest for a fifth straight gold medal.

Led by LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant and other NBA superstars, the U.S. will open the summer games in Paris against Serbia on Sunday. Team USA lost its opener to France in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but won its next five games to clinch the gold medal. The United States has gone 29-1 in Olympic play since finishing with a bronze medal in the 2004 Athens Olympics.

The men's national team is led by Durant and James, each showing up in their fourth Olympic experience, but also has a few newcomers in 3-point shooting legend Stephen Curry and Joel Embiid, who is making his U.S. Olympic debut after representing France and Cameroon in previous appearances.
